Viral Video of Streamer Peller’s ₦500k Job Sparks Heated Debate
A video showing multiple Master’s degree holders applying to work as a cameraman for Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has gone viral, igniting widespread debate across social media.
The online sensation had announced an opening for a cameraman, but with a surprising twist — applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree. The job offers a ₦500,000 monthly salary, and out of the 20 hopefuls who showed interest, only two will be selected.
In the viral clip, Peller is seen in a relaxed, comedic setting, interacting with around ten male and female applicants during what appeared to be a face-to-face screening. He casually joked with one of them, even teasingly asking if the certificate in the applicant’s envelope was real.
While some viewers found the moment humorous, others were stunned by what they described as a “reverse power dynamic,” where highly educated candidates are being evaluated for a role by someone not publicly known for formal academic qualifications.
