Linda Ikeji Subtly Drags Wizkid While Praising Davido – Fans Dig Up Old Receipt
Renowned Nigerian blogger and media mogul Linda Ikeji has once again ignited social media conversations, this time with a not-so-subtle remark that fans say doubles as a dig at Wizkid.
During her appearance on the Pulse Fun Facts Show, the 44-year-old single mother was asked a series of rapid-fire questions, ranging from her social media preferences to favourite Nigerian artists. When asked to choose between Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid and Davido, Linda didn’t hesitate. Her response?
“Davido — by far.”
Though brief, that single phrase has since exploded across platforms, with fans and bloggers alike interpreting it as a carefully worded swipe at Wizkid, and a fresh reminder of their infamous 2016 feud.

For those who may have forgotten, Linda once published a controversial story alleging that Wizkid had received a quit notice on a rented Lekki home he falsely claimed to own. The report didn’t sit well with the singer, who launched a fiery clapback online, hurling insults and threats at the blogger. The digital brawl eventually escalated, with Linda filing a police report over the threats.
Now in 2025, her latest comment delivered with a smirk is being read as more than a casual preference. Fans were quick to resurface screenshots from the 2016 saga, with many accusing Linda of reigniting old drama under the guise of a playful interview.
“She really said ‘Davido by far’ like Wizkid doesn’t even exist,” one X user tweeted. Another wrote, “Linda never forgets. That ‘by far’ was personal.”

Aside from the now-viral moment, Linda also shared other personal insights during the interview. She admitted to choosing Instagram over TikTok, explaining that TikTok is “for much younger folks.” She also responded to the “gossip blogger” label, saying:
“I’m not a gossip in real life, that’s just the persona. I’m actually a quiet person.”
Still, it was her jab, intentional or not, at Wizkid that made headlines, sparking debates about celebrity grudges and the long memory of the internet.
