VeryDarkMan Celebrates with Odogwu and Family
During Burna Boy’s birthday celebration in Lagos, controversial social critic and influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM) had a blast celebrating with Burna Boy, the African Giant, and his close-knit family!
VDM brought even more vibrations to the evening by going with his close friend, rapper Kokopee.
VDM shared his touching story on social media, describing his journey as evidence that “where honesty will take you, billions won’t! “
According to VDM, he first met Burna Boy at a mutual friend’s wedding, where they hashed out VDM’s previous criticisms of Burna, discussed their shared love for cars, and of course, Nigeria’s challenges.
Surprisingly, Burna turned out to be a huge fan who watches VDM’s videos religiously, even quoting them word-for-word!
Their conversation flowed so well that Burna asked VDM to leave his car and ride along, and they talked until morning. Burna then invited him to his birthday party, even offering his private jet – but VDM couldn’t make it immediately because he was busy leading a protest with FCT public primary school kids demanding the reopening of their school closed for over three months.
Burna watched the protest video and praised VDM’s efforts. Later, VDM and Kokopee caught a flight to Lagos, arriving late but still making it to the birthday venue. There, they got a warm welcome from Burna’s entire family but the highlight of the night was Grandma Burna hugging VDM tight and showering him with prayers.
VDM shared how Burna joked about grandma not letting him go, and how Burna’s mum teased him about not knowing she’s Edo, warning playfully that he’d soon find out maybe the hard way! 😂
VDM ended his emotional recount saying:
“It was a beautiful family gathering. I love family, especially people’s mothers. I no dey use people mama play . May God keep Grandma in good health and give her more, more, and more life.”
It’s safe to say this birthday wasn’t just a party – it was a moment of connection, laughter, and pure love.
