Rev. Isaac Omolehin Issues Apology Over Prior Remarks On COZA, Winners Chapel & Christ Embassy
Rev. Isaac Omolehin, founder of Word Assembly Ministries, issues apology over a statement he made regarding attendees of Winners Chapel, COZA and Christ Embassy.
In a viral sermon delivered earlier, Omolehin had expressed pity for the congregants of these churches, suggesting their spiritual inheritance would suffer in the long term.
He said, in part, “I pity those who attend churches like Winners, COZA and Christ Embassy… when the founders are gone, the rubbish legacy they laid is what they will be doing.”
That sermon triggered widespread debate across Christian circles, with many questioning whether his remarks unfairly dismissed the legacy and impact of these ministries.
Days later, Omolehin issued a public apology. According to Church Gist, he stated:
“I don’t like the brand of Winners’ Chapel, Christ Embassy or COZA—but after reviewing the situation, I apologize.”

In this statement, he acknowledged that his previous comments may have been misguided or unnecessarily harsh, choosing to extend an olive branch after deeper reflection.
