Natasha Akpoti vows to release evidence against Akpabio
Embattled Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has vowed to release evidence supporting her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Speaking on Politics Today, a program on Channels Television, on Thursday, Akpoti-Uduaghan reaffirmed her claims, stating that she possesses proof of her allegations.
“At the right time and in the right place, I will present the evidence that I have,” she said.
Her statement comes amid ongoing political tension following her six-month suspension from the Senate. Akpoti-Uduaghan has repeatedly alleged that Akpabio victimized and frustrated her politically after she rejected his advances.
In another development, the senator lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for rejecting a petition seeking her recall from the Senate. She described the decision as belated but ultimately a step in the right direction.
