Court Orders Kizz Daniel to Pay $200,000 Over No-Show at Event
Nigerian singer-songwriter Kizz Daniel has reportedly been ordered by a court to pay $200,000 after failing to perform at an event in Germany.
According to entertainment blogger Cutie Juls, the “Buga” crooner was contracted for the show for a fee of $100,000 and received half of the payment in advance. However, he allegedly failed to appear on the agreed date.
Cutie Juls reported that after the event organizers contacted him, Kizz Daniel promised a refund but did not follow through. The organizers then pursued legal action, leading to the reported judgment of $200,000 in damages.
The court order also includes the freezing of Kizz Daniel’s personal and business bank accounts, the blogger claimed, sharing screenshots said to be evidence of payment transactions.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Kizz Daniel nor his management team has issued an official statement regarding the case.
This development follows the singer’s 2022 incident in Tanzania, where he was briefly detained after failing to perform at the Summer Amplified concert despite receiving full payment. While organizers accused him of breaching the contract, Kizz Daniel later clarified that he was only questioned by security operatives.
