He believes that the massive stunner is flanked by oval side stones set in platinum, which he estimates are about one carat each, setting the ring at a nice 37 carats.
For Kormind, the ring’s grandeur ranks high alongside the famous Taylor-Burton Diamond, a 69.42 carat pear shape stone gifted to Elizabeth Taylor by Richard Burton.
Laura Taylor, an engagement ring specialist at Lorel Diamonds, describes Rodríguez’s rock as “extraordinary,” boasting what she believes to be an oval-cut diamond ranging between 15 to 20 carats.
“Oval cuts are known for their brilliant faceting, which maximizes sparkle and gives the stone a bright, lively appearance from every angle,” Taylor said as reported by PEOPLE.
She also predicts that the stone is flanked by substantial side stones and set on platinum for “security” and colour enhancement.
Taylor adds, “If the diamond is natural and of exceptional quality in the D-F colour range with flawless or near-flawless clarity, its value could easily exceed around $2 million.”
